Day Trading: Great Fun - If You Are Ahead…

Imagine with me the dream, you have just woken up at 8:00 to the whistling of song birds in the trees outside your South Carolina beach home and you are beginning to smell the gourmet coffee that brews when you wake up. You look outside to see another beautiful day ahead and instead of being depressed because you will have to waste it inside an office with fluorescent lights blaring down on you inside your cubicle you are welcoming it with the enthusiasm of a little child on the first day of summer break. You see you are a day trading guru, who from the privacy of your own home and with the convenience of a high speed internet hook up, and are therefore free to do as you please.

This is true because you actually enjoy the thrill of the market and the challenge of fast paced decisions and strategies that go with the life of trading stocks on a daily basis. You are in this not for the retirement that is slowly and steadily becoming enough to support you in your “golden years,” you are in this for your income. In order to survive you have to buy low and sell high enough today to turn a profit and get a paycheck. This is the challenge, the fun of day trading.

So you grab a cup of coffee and head over to your desk and computer to get a brief look at the events on the market this morning. You see that things are well according to the buy plan that you made the night before and that you don’t have to make any changes. You then grab the paper on the front walk (the Wall Street Journal of course) and amble out onto your back deck sipping on the dark Sumatra. This is just the morning of your typical work day of day trading and you are loving every minute of it.

Later that day you go and play a round of golf with your day trading buddies and discuss the events of the morning on the market. You get together with these guys, kind of like a focus group, to bounce strategies off one another and to give and receive advice. You return home for the afternoon and get a bite to eat and a shower before settling down in front of your computer for research and planning for the next days buying and selling. But first you have to make the sales from the buys you made yesterday AM and you are pleased to see that you have returned a little bit higher than average profit – $1500.

Cleaning your hearing aids

Hearing aids which fit in the ear.

When removing your hearing aid before you go to bed you should carefully wipe down with a soft dry cloth or tissue. You should also spend some time inspecting the part of the hearing aid that fits into the ear canal as it is likely that a accumulation of ear wax may have occurred. If this is the case then you will have to remove the wax. When you purchased the hearing aids you should receive a cleaning tool which can be used to do this which usually takes the form of a wire pick or a brush or you could also use a toothbrush.

Hearing aids which fir behind the ear.

As with the above, the procedure is similar. However, the main difference being that the ear mould which fits into the ear which is usually made of Lucite or silicone which is non-electrical and therefore can be washed in mild soapy water. Before washing it is important to ensure the earpiece is disconnected from the behind the ear section to ensure the electrical part of the hearing aid does not get wet. Dry the ear piece correctly before using and also ensure that the tube is clear of water. Please note that the tube may need to be replaced after a period of time usually 3 to 6 months as the flexibility may be lost.

Things not to do…

1. Wash the hearing aid with solvents or alcohol as this may cause the materials from which the aid is made to break down. You can purchase special cleaning fluids designed to clean hearing aids.

2. Don’t let the electrical part of the hearing aid get wet. Avoid wearing the aid when showering of bathing.

3. Try not to drop the hearing aid, especially on a hard floor as this may cause the hearing aid to break.

Living With an Alcoholic and the Challenge of Not Having Alcohol Inside the Home

When you live with an alcoholic in your life, you have to change the way you live.

You have to change the way you keep your house stocked with beverages. You have to realize that having alcohol in the home is a thing of the past.

FACT: An alcoholic does not give a hoot where the drink comes from, as long as they can drink it.

This is hard to understand for many people. If you do not have a drinking problem, but take pleasure in a drink occasionally, you will have to make some changes.

The poignant thing is that you may have to be the one to hide the alcohol.

Can I suggest that if you really want to make a difference, quit drinking yourself?

If you drink, you have to use sound judgment. You have to realize that living with an alcoholic and drinking yourself can make for some intense moments. It may make you feel self-importantand able to say things that you normally would not.

This could create some arguments and even some abusive behavioral on both parts. If you do drink, it should be on moderation and make sure that you do not need to discuss anything with your spouse or partner when you are drinking.

Keep alcohol out of sight if you live with an alcoholic in your life. This is vital, but it is also necessary. Many alcoholics will hide their empties so that you do not know that they are drinking, but now you will have to be the one hiding the alcohol if you want to keep it in the house. This now becomes a really bad living state of affairs. Unfortunately, if you want alcohol in the house for yourself or for when guests stop over, you will have to keep it out of sight.

Please don't think that a lock on the liquor cabinet will deter the alcoholic in you life. If the person knows that there is alcohol in the house, even if you use a lock and key to keep them out, they will discover a way. This is depressing because you want to feel safe and secure in your home, but the problem is already inside. You have to change the way you live when you live with an alcoholic.

FACT: There is no easy way to keep alcoholic beverages in the house where an alcoholic lives.

If you have alcohol in the house, be prepared to have it disappear quickly. This is a predicament for everybody that keeps alcohol in the house.

Just because a well meaning acquaintance brought it over for when he or she visits will not mean a thing. The alcoholic that needs a drink does not care whose alcohol it is but only that it is there and they feel like it. This can cause more problems when they come for a visit and the alcohol is gone. You have to explain and identify the truth instead of covering it up.

Hiding alcohol is not the answer, but unfortunately, it is the only way you can keep alcohol in the house if you do. Sometimes you will feel like this is not worth it and get depressed. This is the time you need to talk to someone. Living with an alcoholic that seeks and finds the alcohol to drink has a problem and most counselors will tell you not to keep alcohol in the house at all. This is not what you want to hear, but short of sleeping with the alcohol next to your bed, this may be the only way to stop the alcoholic from drinking what is not theirs.

You may need to have an alcohol free home to deter drinking at home. This is not hard to do if you do not want a cocktail now and then. If you are just a casual drinker and only want a few cocktails, you will have to decide what is more important. This is hard, but then again, living with an alcoholic is problematical nearly all of the time.

There is no straightforward way to live with a person that has a drinking difficulty. You have to make sacrifices in most cases to make things work.

Bad Credit Card- Offered By Many Companies

Check-books and paying with cash is becoming less frequent as more people are using plastic to pay for purchases. Checkbooks are being replaced by debit cards and the use of credit cards is rising. Online shopping has helped fuel the need for a credit card. Unfortunately people with bad credit are normally not approved for a credit card. It is not hopeless, there are avenues for those with bad credit histories to enter or return to the world of plastic.

Bad credit - credit cards are offered by many companies. This became a necessity since individuals with low incomes or credit problems would be declined for a low interest, no fee credit card. Many of these companies use what is called Risk Based Pricing. What this does is they have several types of offerings with different interest rates. The rate they offer is based on your credit score. So if you apply for one card you may get declined but offered a card with a higher rate. This is an excellent way for someone with a bit of a negative credit history to be approved for a bad credit, credit card.

So what about those individuals with no credit or extremely negative credit? They may need to look at another type of bad credit, credit card. There are several companies that target these types of people. They offer what is called a starter card. This type of card has a very high interest rate and very low credit limit. There are also a substantial amount of fees normally connected with these cards.

These cards pale in comparison to the more normal type of credit card offers but the acceptance rate is high. By using, one of these bad credit, credit cards and keeping with the terms of the agreement, making payments on time in a period of time your credit rating will be more positive. This will allow you the opportunity to apply with a better chance of acceptance for a lower rate and more favorable term credit card.

There are some individuals with such critical credit problems, a recent bankruptcy for instance, that a starter card would not be an option. If this is the case the only solution that would be left is a prepaid credit card which is sometimes called a secured card. The fact they look like a credit card it the only similarity. They need to have funds deposited to use them. You are virtually guaranteed to be accepted for this type of bad credit, credit card.

They work the same as any Mastercard or Visa but you can only spend the amount of money you have deposited. This leaves very little risk to the card issuer since you can not incur any debt with them. Because the issuer of the card will not be making any money on monthly interest rates for the balance they make their money in other ways. The can charge a fee for applying, a annual fee, an administration fee even a small percentage for every time you purchase something with the card. You will want to research several companies before applying for this type of bad credit, credit card since these fees can vary greatly.

Basically what all this means if even with a bad credit rating, nearly everyone can find a bad credit, credit card. It may take some research but it can be accomplished.
